Odessa Equine Services is an equine ambulatory practice serving the areas of Kingston, Napanee and Belleville. Odessa Equine is dedicated to providing high quality, comprehensive medical care to horses as well as intensive client education. It is my belief that education of the horse owners is the best way to prevent illness and promote good horse health. Whether your horse is a national competitor, pleasure horse or companion it will receive quality medical attention.
Dr. Doornekamp, D.V.M.
Dr. Amy Doornekamp is a native of Odessa, Ontario. She’s had a passion for horses from a young age and grew up riding horses within the eventing, hunter/jumper and dressage disciplines. Always passionate about equine veterinary medicine Dr Doornekamp graduated from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine and completed her clinical year at Cornell University of Veterinary Medicine. After graduating from Ross University she practiced in New York State before returning home to practice with her mentor and friend Dr. Shaun Finucane. Shortly after her return she started her own equine ambulatory practice, Odessa Equine Services. She is experienced in the areas of lameness evaluation, reproduction, general medicine and preventative health.
Amy currently resides in Odessa with her husband Grant and their son Jacob. On the farm they have two lovable labs Kayley and Otis and a halflinger pony Dyna.
